Notifications
The management portal keeps you informed about important events for your organization through the notification bell in the top bar. Click the bell icon in the management portal to open the Notifications panel.
Opening the Notifications Panel
The bell icon sits in the top bar, next to the live support icon. When you have unread notifications, a red badge on the bell shows how many. Click the bell to open the Notifications panel with your most recent notifications. The badge and the panel clear once the notifications have been read.
What Triggers a Notification
WebSpeaker creates a notification for your organization when:
- Scraping completed — a website scrape finishes successfully. The notification names the collection and how many pages were scraped, and takes you to the project when clicked.
- Billing issue — a subscription payment is overdue, or your subscription has been paused or canceled. Clicking the notification opens your organization’s billing page.
- Maximum crawl size reached — scraping for a website stopped because your organization’s page limit was reached.
Reading Notifications
Each notification shows a short title, a message, and how long ago it arrived. Click a notification to mark it as read; if it links to a related page, such as a project or the billing page, you are taken there. Notifications without a related page simply become marked as read. Use Mark all as read at the top of the panel to clear every unread notification at once. When there is nothing new, the panel shows No notifications.
Notifications belong to your organization, but each team member has their own read state, so marking a notification as read does not affect what your teammates see.
Push Notifications
If you allow notifications in your browser, these same events are also delivered as browser push notifications so you can see them even when the portal tab is not open. If you are signed in to the WebSpeaker mobile app, they are delivered there as push notifications as well.
