Who handles billing

Paid WebSpeaker subscriptions are sold through our merchant-of-record billing provider.

This means the merchant of record handles:

  • payment processing,
  • taxes and VAT charged on the transaction,
  • and the sales documents associated with the purchase.

When payment starts

Every account starts on the Free plan, and Free is free forever.

You only begin paying when you upgrade to a paid plan from inside the app.

Renewals and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

If you cancel future renewals from the billing portal:

  • no new billing period will start,
  • your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period,
  • and your account then returns to the applicable lower-capacity plan.

Taxes, VAT, and sales documents

Because paid subscriptions are sold by the merchant of record, the merchant of record is responsible for handling applicable taxes, VAT, and the related sales documents for the transaction.

Refunds

Refund requests for the initial purchase may be available within 14 days in accordance with merchant-of-record policies and applicable law.

Refunds for renewals are generally not provided unless required by law.

If a refund is approved, it is returned using the original payment method.
