The onboarding problem

A signup is not activation.

A signup is not activation. Users still need answers to reach value.

Users create an account but do not finish setup.

Quickstart guides exist, but users do not read or understand them.

Onboarding depends on repeated help from support or Customer Success.

Users do not know which step to take next.

Documentation explains details but does not lead users to first value.

Where users get stuck

Keep your onboarding flow. Add answers where users get stuck.

WebSpeaker does not replace your product onboarding or Customer Success. It answers the questions that appear between signup and first value, from the guides and docs you already publish.

1

A new user hits a question during setup

Permissions, integrations, settings, next steps — asked in the widget, in their own words.

2

WebSpeaker answers from your guides

A grounded answer with source context from quickstarts, docs, help center, and product pages.

3

The user continues to first value

Unanswered setup questions are recorded as content gaps for your onboarding materials.

Where it helps new users

Understanding the first steps after signup.

Setup and configuration questions answered in place.

Finding the right guide or help article through source context.

Clarifying permissions, integrations, limits, and next steps.

Getting unstuck before they abandon setup.

Example questions

The questions new users ask before first value

New users ask in their own words. WebSpeaker answers from your indexed onboarding content.

What should I do first? How do I set up my first project? Can I install this without developers? What permissions do I need? How do I invite my team? Which integration should I configure first? What does this setting mean? How do I know if setup is complete?
How do I invite my team?
Go to Settings → Team and select Invite members. Invited teammates get Editor access by default; roles are described in the team management guide.
Help center: Team management

Answers depend on the content you provide. WebSpeaker does not invent answers outside your indexed website, docs, or help content.

What to measure

Measure it honestly

Missing or unclear setup content.

Repeated onboarding questions.

Setup steps that need better guidance.

Later: activation or setup completion improvements from your own data.

WebSpeaker supports onboarding. It does not replace product onboarding UX or Customer Success.
