Mobile App

The WebSpeaker mobile app allows support agents to handle live chat conversations from their mobile devices. Built with Flutter, the app provides the same core support functionality as the web dashboard, ensuring that your team can respond to visitors even when they are away from their desks.

Download and Install

The WebSpeaker mobile app is available for Android devices on Google Play. Download and install the app on your mobile device just like any other Android application. The app requires Android 8.0 or later.

Open the app and log in using your support agent credentials — the same email and password you use to access the web portal at portal.webspeaker.pro. After logging in, the app connects to your organization and displays any active conversations assigned to your projects.

If your organization uses multiple projects, the app gives you access to conversations across all projects that you are a member of. You can switch between projects within the app to manage conversations from different websites.

Push Notifications

One of the key advantages of the mobile app is push notifications. When a visitor sends a new message or starts a new conversation, you receive a push notification on your device, even if the app is not actively open. This ensures you never miss an incoming message and can respond quickly.

Push notifications are enabled by default when you install the app. Make sure your device’s notification settings allow the WebSpeaker app to send notifications. You can customize notification behavior in the app’s settings, including sound preferences and notification priority.

Handling Conversations on Mobile

The mobile app provides a conversation list and chat interface similar to the web dashboard. Tap on a conversation to open it, read the visitor’s messages, and type your response. Messages are delivered in real time, just as they are on the web dashboard.

The mobile interface is optimized for smaller screens, with a clean layout that makes it easy to read and respond to messages. You can manage multiple conversations and switch between them.

Staying Connected

The app maintains your online status as long as it is connected. When you are logged in and the app is running (even in the background), you appear as available to visitors on your website. If you close the app or lose network connectivity, your status updates accordingly.

Using the mobile app alongside the web dashboard provides maximum flexibility for your support team. Agents can start a conversation on the web and continue it on mobile, or vice versa, as both platforms share the same real-time messaging infrastructure.
